A Commercial Occupancy Certificate (COC) must be issued annually in order to occupy non-residential space within Wood Dale.  The renewal process consists of completion of the application (below), a fire/life safety inspection and payment of fees. 

Answer all questions completely. Incomplete responses may delay COC issuance.


 To Get Started

Applications may be submitted online or in-person at the Community Development Department Office.  In-person application intake hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Business assistance is available at City Hall, 404 N. For example, a property that is primarily used as offices would be professional offices; properties primarily used to provide a service on-site, such as auto repair or hair salon, would be classified retail/services; and properties that are primarily used to store products would be warehousing/freight forwarding.  Questions about classification of commercial activities should be directed to the Community Development Department at (630) 787-3735.
