The Mission of the Wood Dale Cares (WDC) is to help individuals and families achieve safety, independence and self-sufficiency through the provision of professional, fiscally responsible quality human services in a progressive, collaborative and customer service oriented environment.
The Wood Dales Cares Committee is a respected partner in a healthy, safe, interconnected community where the basic needs of all are met in an environment of independence and dignity that affords opportunities for a better quality of life as determined by individual choice. The WDC values compassionate service through shared decision making while promoting responsibility and accountability in an atmosphere of respect.
Our plans are to increase awareness of benefits our current Wood Dale organizations bring to the community, the services offered through Addison Township and our DuPage County Human Services.
Our goal is to be the number one resource for all residents of the City of Wood Dale for some of the following issues:
- Addiction & Mental Illness
- Domestic Violence
- Human Trafficking
- Special Needs Population
- Food Pantry
- Seniors (including transportation)
