Wood Dale is partnering with the national Move with the Mayor initiative, part of the National Forum – For Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, which works with mayors across the country to challenge their communities to be more physically active.

Mayors and Council members encourage their towns to be physically active and help lower the chances of heart disease, reducing risk factors like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Each month, the Mayor and Council representatives invite residents to take a walk and enjoy some scenic locations here in Wood Dale. Join the Mayor & Council! We meet at 9 am for each walk, get some fresh air, and move together. The walks will range from 1 to 2.5 miles each. All ages and strollers are welcome. The walk will not take place in the event of rain or severe heat.
