The City offers a discount to eligible seniors/disabled residents on their water and garbage service on their utility bills. Flood Brothers also offers a 15% discount to qualifying seniors. These are separate programs with different criteria. Please note: Residents may only participate in one of these programs; you cannot get both discounts. Contact the Finance Department at 630-766-4900 with questions or concerns.

Utility Bill Discount for Water and Garbage Services

First 2500 gallons of water FREE & half off garbage.

To be eligible, you must fit into one of the following categories:

Must be at least 62 or older; or
Widow having dependent children; or
Totally disabled; or
US Military Veteran

AND meet the following income limits:

One person household - $35,250
Two person household - $41,250

Proof of income is required.
