Process to Assure an Accurate Final Water Meter Read
When you are moving out of your residence, the City needs to be informed so that we can schedule an appointment to check on our water meter within your residence.  This is to assure that the proper amount of water is being billed to your account as well as an opportunity for the City to check on its Water Meter.

Please follow these four (4) easy steps.

  • 1.  At least 24-hours prior to closing, please call the Public Works Department at 630-350-3530 then press 2.
  • 2.  Schedule an appointment between the hours of 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM
  • 3.  Clear area around the water meter so our technician can get a visual read and check for any leaks or damage to the meter or transponder.
  • 4.   Be able to provide forwarding information for the Final Water Bill and for new owner.

Water Turn On

If your water has been turned off, please fill out this form and return in person to the Finance Department or fax the form  to (630) 766-4251.
