Special Event Permit
Special Events include, but are not limited to, races, fairs, festivals, contests, carnivals, business promotional events, and other events that may impact City services or property. In rare occasions, this also includes events that occur on private property but have a significant impact on public services.
A Special Event permit application should be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office and submitted a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to an event. This allows staff sufficient time to evaluate the request and provide recommendation to the City Council for its consideration.
Completion of this application does not absolve the applicant from complying with any Local, County, State or Federal laws or guidelines that are not specifically outlined in this application.
There is no fee associated with the Special Event Permit Application, however, certain events will require supplementary permits and/or licenses which may be subject to fees. Questions may be directed to the City Clerk’s Office at 630-787-3709.
