The Franchise Agreement protects both private and public infrastructure and improvements from damage. Further information can be found in Chapter 16 – Cable, Video and Small Wireless Facilities, of the municipal code.

Per the franchise agreement, the following information is required on an annual basis:

  • Every utility that occupies right-of-way within the City shall register on January 1 of each year with the Department of Public Works, providing the utility's name, address and regular business telephone and email addresses.  The name of one or more contact persons who can act on behalf of the utility in connection with emergencies involving the utility's facilities in the right-of-way and a twenty-four (24) hour telephone number for each such person, and of a certificate of insurance

  • Annual Fee as outlined in the Master Fee Schedule.

All franchisees are required to register through the City of Wood Dale’s self-service portal, my.wooddale.com.
